ESPN Hates Arkansas
As strange as it seems, it’s pretty obvious lately that ESPN hates Arkansas. The way that Tim Tebow was heralded as Jesus II in the weeks leading up to the Heisman when everyone in America knows that Darren McFadden is the best player in college football. The way the coaching opening at Arkansas was portrayed while the search was going on, and more recently, the Bobby Petrino bashing all make it pretty clear that those guys hate us. Not that I care what those east coast biased, Pac-10 loving wiener heads think. After seeing the way Arkansas has been portrayed in the national media lately, it is refreshing to see that at least this guy gets it. I know this is old news, but I am so glad to finally see an article that gives Bobby Petrino’s side of the story in his split with the Atlanta Falcons, and takes ESPN to task for their blatant bashing and obvious one-sided, biased “journalism”.
Will Gilbert- I don’t know who you are, but you said basically everything I’ve been thinking. The bottom line is this; coaches leave schools all the time. Yes, Bobby Petrino in in his third coaching job in three years, but that’s because he took one really bad job, and had to get out of it. He did what just about anyone would do. He took an opportunity to get out of a bad situation. He hated Atlanta. His family hated Atlanta. He left. End of story. Mr. Gilbert gets it. You rule, buddy.

That article hit the nail on the head. There’s no doubt that ESPN put their weight behind Tebow in a not-so-subtle way. Check out this commercial. In the days leading up to the presentation, the version of the commercial that aired actually said “Tim Tebow” in the commercial and didn’t say any of the other candidates names. Pricks.

Ed, Nisc & I were discussing this last night. No one bats an eye when a coach is fired mid-season, yet this guy leaves a sinking ship and he gets blasted for it?

And the hits just keep on coming. Get a life, ESPN, talk about something better.
