Hog football tickets still cheaper than seeing Van Halen
According to Hogwired.com, the price of tickets to a Hog game will increase by $10 due to “an effort to keep pace with the escalating costs associated with the operation of it’s 19 sports.” Tickets for the 2008 season will now run $45 per bench seat and your rich boss will have to fork out between $15-$50 for that badass skybox you hear about from time to time.
Before you freak out, though, it should be noted that we’re still below the $47.20 average SEC football game ticket price. Three schools have cheaper seats than Arkansas but not by much. Mississippi State and Kentucky charge $40 while Vanderbilt tickets run $42 a seat. LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee fans have to fork out $50 a seat and Alabama charges $55-65 depending on whether it’s a “Premium Game” or not.
Although not quite as cheap as seeing Hanson ($28.50), a Razorback game will still be less expensive (and possibly more exciting) than attending a wrinkled up, David Lee Roth-fronted Van Halen concert which is currently bringing in $80-150 a seat.

Holy Sheeeeit! David Lee is back with Van Halen? I’ve been in jail so long I missed that one! Where do I sign up for tickets? Word…Dave brings the chickies ya’ll. Hell, I don’t care what they cost. I’m wearing my Van Halen ‘71 Tour t-shirt and going for some stuff ya’ll.

The concert costs more because you won’t have to put up with a weeks worth of fans second guessing David Lee’s play calling and bitching even though they won by three touchdowns.
