there’s a great, great little band from Tuscaloosa called the Dexateens that I think people in Fayetteville would go crazy for. Great songs, and amazingly rocking live show.

Oh, and my new band, HOTT, if we can ever get our butts out of the frozen wasteland up here in Iowa.

Yeah, they played at Clunk both times – touring for the 1st ep, Remission.
We were stoked b/c a couple of those dudes used to be in Today Is The Day, another jam-band – check ‘em out, hippies.

Agree with Bryce on 2 counts: (1)The Spoon show turnout was disappointing. Where the hell were all the college kids??? The show was totally ass-kicking. When Britt Daniel finished up the set by ripping up a guitar solo after the rest of the band had already bailed out due to the pouring rain & lightning…YES!!! (2)I was at that KOL show at Cain’s as well and it was face melting. That is a quality rock & roll band.

Mastodon was in Fayetteville…twice?!?!? How did I miss that?

Bands I would love to see come to Fayetteville: Arcade Fire (pipe dream), TVOTR, My Morning Jacket, Silversun Pickups, Band of Horses, Of Montreal, The Brunettes (would be a bitchin’ chilled time), Tegan & Sara (shhh), Animal Collective, MGMT, The Black Keys…oh, and Radiohead of course

We should be able to get more of the quality Austin bands who are tired of playing in Austin: Ghostland Observatory, What Made Milwaukee Famous, Ryan Bingham, Spoon (again), etc

I have to agree that I was pretty embarrassed by the Spoon turnout. It was such a kick ass show, with lighting and everything. And it was free for God’s sake!

I would also love to get The Whigs back for a headline gig.

I’d like to see Cream Dream, Fairfield 9, Hoopla Love, or Nigel Griggs. But I’d be the only one at those shows. Because I’m the only one in the area that’s ever heard of these people. I’m so cool.

Of those already mentioned I think Al Green, Band of Horses, and Lyrics Born would be fun and have big turn outs. I’d like to ad N.E.R.D as well. They played Lawrence not too long ago and I hear it was crazy.

I saw NKOTB at the Benton County Fairgrounds back in the day and somehow managed to stay straight into adulthood.

I’d love to see Sufjan Stevens come around and, if we can find the right venue, The Polyphonic Spree. Shooting kind of high, I know, but hell’s bells would that rule.

How about bands for the young and old:

Tom Petty and Springsteen are at the top of that list, but probably way too expensive. What about John Prine? He plays everywhere else in Arkansas. Willie plays in Eureka Springs. Maybe could catch him on his way through.
