After 8 years of waiting for The College Avenue Improvement Project to begin, we’re finally getting to see some more of Mayor Dan Coody’s street plans come to life.
This morning, The Iconoclast takes a look at what we were promised back in 2000 versus what we’re actually getting in terms of upgrades to College Avenue. Coody’s seven mile beautification plan has unfortunately been slimmed down to about seven blocks but hey, it’s something, right?
Look for new sidewalks, curbs, street lighting and trees to be added to the stretch of road between Rock St. and Maple over the next six months.
Also, look for the gigantic mud hole that is the “Renaissance Tower” to still be…well…a gigantic mud hole.

Well, like you said, at least it’s something.
