The Whigs ruled

I did you a gigantic disservice yesterday, fellow F-towners.

I forgot to remind you that The Whigs were playing at George’s last night and for that I am truly sorry. The reason, however, is because somehow I completely forgot about it myself. That is, until 9:30pm when I promptly put my pants back on and left the house to hurry down to Dickson St.

I had just come back from an all-ages show out at ROTC (which was awesome) and was ready to settle down into a video game or two (or 20) when I noticed the folks over at TDKK had posted a reminder about the show. Thanks, guys. The show was absolutely badical-ass-tastic.

Did any of ya’ll make it? If so, can someone please explain to me how in the hell The Whigs can make that full of a sound just being a 3-piece? Cause it was unbelievable.

Sorry again. Sort of. Happy Friday the 13th, by the way.

Last night was the second time I’ve seen these guys at George’s and they were bad ass both shows. My ears are still ringing.

Maybe I should have plugged that show, too, although we covered them really hard when they were here in February.

Awesome show last night, better than the first one, I think.

I mean, they covered The Who and their encore was the Stones’ “Get Off Of My Cloud.” I got rocked silly.

There was a dude there filming some of it. I really hope “Right Hand On My Heart” makes it to YouTube.

It was rad. Athens, GA just continues to turn out pearls.
