Should I see the new Hulk movie? The Happening?

Jun 17th, 2008 by Ted Dancin'

Summer is poking it’s warm-ass self out of the clouds a little and it’s time for some sweet movie action (or drama). Trouble is, I don’t know where to go to get a real review. I just need someone to say, “Yeah, it’s good. See it, dude.” or “Oh jeez, that one sucked ASS.” Although there are plenty of movie review sites out there, I’d rather hear something more definitive than “Whoa! Indiana Jones is up to 77% on Rotten Tomatoes!” What the balls does that even mean? No seriously, what does it mean?

According to Reuters, “The Incredible Hulk” just reached domestic ticket sales of $55.4 million and M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Happening” also had a good debut.

Of course, basing my decision on ticket sales is like saying George W. Bush was a good choice just because he was elected.

Did any of you guys see the new Hulk? How ’bout The Happening? Or are you more of a “Baby Mama” or “Kung Fu Panda” type of moviegoer?

Help me out, ya’ll. What should I see?

Hmmm. Haven’t seen The Happening yet, but I will. The Hulk was ok. From what I’ve heard, it’s a great comic book, but for me it just doesn’t seem to cross over to film very well. See it if you like comic book movies, but wait to rent it otherwise.

But that’s just my $0.02. Anybody else have a different opinion?

I have a friend who saw The Happening. He couldn’t stop talking about how bad it was.

Let’s see Get Smart this weekend. Then we can head to the new Chick Fil A on 6th street for a cookies and cream shake.

The Happening is the worst film I have ever seen. However, The Incredible Hulk is quite a good film—the action is top-notch and the acting is good.

The real surprise is Kung Fu Panda. It has satisfying action and wonderful voice acting.
