Jason’s Deli: Now Open

Jun 27th, 2008 by JTrain

Tired of the choosing between Panera, Atlanta Bread Company and McAlister’s when you’re on the North side of town and jonesin’ for a delicious sandwich? Well, you can now add Jason’s Deli to the mix of restaraunts that can whet your appetite. Located in Nelson’s Crossing (On Joyce across from Circuit City), Jason’s Deli is now open for business.

As a Fayetteville native, I wasn’t aware of all the Jason’s Deli love. For months, the Flyer’s own, Farrah, has been patiently waiting for the doors to swing open. “They have Durkees!” I’ve heard her exclaim more than once. She loves Durkee’s Famous Sauce.

Anyway, with everything I’ve heard, I decided to go check it out for myself at lunch. I pull up and the line’s literally out the door. As I’m walking in, I hear a lady say “I’ve been waiting 8 years for this day.” I think to myself “Wow, this place must be pretty damned delish.” Not wanting to sit down and eat by my lonesome, I find the “To Go Orders” line and jump in. Much shorter and not too bad of a wait. I order a Club Royale sandwich. My order comes up pretty quickly and I head back to the office.

After eating the sandwich, I have to say that it was pretty good. They’re very liberal with their meats and it was a well-crafted sandwich. I’m not sure I’d say that it’s the best sandwich I’ve ever had, but it certainly was delicious. Plus, it’s just nice having another lunch option.

Jason’s Deli gets a thumbs up.

PS - Jason’s Deli DELIVERS! That’s right, from 7am -9 pm, 7 days a week, you can place an order and have it delivered to your home, office or wherever. Minimum order is $25 with a $7 delivery charge before 4pm, dropping to $5 after 4pm and on weekends. So now, you don’t have to order pizza when you’re too lazy to cook and not wanting to leave your house. Killer!

Extremely stoked about Jason’s Deli. happier than I should be a about a chain deli — so good. So many condiment choices.

Ate there yesterday and I was very impressed. Never been to one and only heard one thing about it but I was very happy with my lunch. I don’t like paying $10 for a sandwich but this one was well worth the money. And the soft serve ice cream was incredible too!

Yes, this place is very well worth trying. I first had Jason’s when we went on a derby trip to Dallas, and I was so excited to see the sign being placed on the building several months ago.

Another awesome restaurant is supposed to be opening in the new Bella establishment off Joice adjacent to the new post office called “Mellow Mushroom”. Check out MellowMushroom.com!!
