After being drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the second round (39th overall), Sonny Weems received a call from his agent fifteen minutes later informing him that he’d already been traded to the Denver Nuggets.

“He just told me I got traded to the Nuggets,” Weems said Thursday night. “That was fine by me. I think Denver wanted me all along.”

So instead of ending up on a team that’s already full of great guards including first overall pick Derrick Rose, ole Sonny is gonna head to Denver to play alongside Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony. Hell yes.

“I can’t wait to get started,” Weems said. “It was kind of a crazy night, but now that I know where I’m going, I’m ready.”

Congrats to Sonny but more importantly, we can all thank the good lord and baby Jesus that we don’t have to pay any more unnecessary attention to this Chicago Bull.
