Anybody got the inside word on what’s going on around the Greek Theater on campus?
A new covered walkway? An arboretum? A ferris wheel?
A whole row of trees was cut down and the sidewalks were all removed. It looks like new sidewalks are going to be added and will probably house a new class of graduate names but this looks like more than just a sidewalk upgrade to me. Of course, I could be wrong.
So, like I said, does anyone know WTF is going on?

Just new sidewalk (wider and consistent arc) and new trees.

Those stupid trees stunk anyways… and they were always hanging down and hitting you in the face. They never trimmed the skirt up on the tree.

Phillip. I agree. Those trees weren’t taken care of at all.

The gnarly, stinky old junipers will be replaced by some kind of trees that will look even and orderly, like the theater’s columns. The new curved walk will be a senior walk. The parking along the arc will go away, the way parking spaces do on campus.

Sardon: According to the article Steezydeezy linked to above, it says “The on-street parking spaces will be restored when the project is finished.” You got any inside word on whether or not this is true?
