This past weekend was one of the busiest of the summer for the Arkansas Music Pavilion with three back-to-back shows.
Jason Isbell, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and Stoney LaRue played Thursday night.
The rock continued on Friday, when quirky rockers Ween took the stage.
Saturday night, however, the Pat Benetar show had to be called off due to the nature of the electrical storms that kicked Fayetteville’s ass for hours on end. It was the first time the AMP had to cancel a show. Bummer.
These three shows could not be more different. And that’s a good thing if you ask us. We can tell the folks who put these shows on are trying to bring some great, diverse artists to town. Good job, AMP peeps.
So, did you make it out to any of these shows? Did you get your face rocked off? Did you dance? Did you sing? Did you see Jesus? Let us know!

That sucks that they had to cancel the show. I wonder if folks get their money back or tix to another show or something? It was probably an unavoidable decision though. I lost power at my house for over 5 hours that night.

No Jesus seeing. But I did see some chick with a crazy Ween tattoo on her arm. Many people, I believe, were as happy seeing Ween on that stage as they would have been seeing Jesus. They’ve got some seriously loyal fans.
About Pat Benatar: I’ve been told people will get refunds, be able to attend the rescheduled date or trade for another show.

Ween put on a fine rock display. And now that my AMP cherry is broken, I have to say it wasn’t too bad of a venue.
