Big Ass Razorback Logo at Midfield in 2008-09
It was announced yesterday on the Shawn and Wally radio show out of Little Rock that World Class Athletic Surfaces has been contracted to make a giant Razorback stencil in order to paint a giant Razorback logo on the field at Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Stretching from the 35 to 35 yard lines, the designer of the stencil called the giant Razorback “The biggest stencil we’ve ever done.”
Reports indicate that the midfield logo should be ready in time for the home opener this season.
Guess if we can’t have the biggest video screen anymore, then we might as well have the largest on-field logo.
Kudos to Jeff Long, or whoever made this decision, as well as several other pretty awesome decisions lately. Now, all we need is the Hog Helmet Car rolling around on the field this year, and we’re all set to start the new era of Razorback football. We can’t wait.

JTrain, I heard a rumor (i.e. read it on an unsubstantiated, sports message board not affiliated with the University in anyway) that Long was going to ditch the stupid Pumba logo.
If this is true, Long has been the best thing to come to UofA Sports since the helmet car. (which i hope is making a triumphant return this fall …)

According to the Wholehogsports.com blog, it appears that the giant hog isn’t going to be as giant as once thought. Maybe a full 10 yards less big:
