Hog hoops tickets get 25% price increase
Aw hell. If there’s one way to spoil my early excitement for 2008 Razorback hoops, it’s news that ticket prices are going from $20 to $25 this year. That’s a 25% increase, ya’ll.
First I have to start trying to decide which out-of-town trips to cancel this summer because gas prices have gotten so ridiculous and now I’m gonna have to eat dinner before the game. Not that those burgers are all that good or anything but still, I like eating at the games…or should I say liked eating at the games.
Yeah, yeah, I know. It’s only the second price raise in 8 years and it’s only five bucks but we were just served with a $2 increase recently when tickets went from $18 to $20. With 15 home games, that’s an extra $105 per season now. And that’s just for one ticket.
I don’t mean to come across like a whiny-ass here. I mean I know it could be worse. Our prices are still well below many other schools. And I know that there’s a price you gotta pay to have your entire athletic program wiped clean like we just did but couldn’t we spread this out over a couple of seasons?
I guess the answer is no. And I guess I’ll be eating ham-n-cheese instead of a soggy burger this season. Dang.
In other news, head coach John Pelphrey certainly won’t be eating ham-n-cheese this season.

I’ll just have to bring some firewood and cook the hotdogs myself up in the nosebleed section like i used to.
