More Cox HD channels for us!
For those of you who own an HDTV and are constantly wishing Cox would add more HD channels, you’ll be happy to know that there are a few new ones waiting for you right now.
We’re a few days late on this one, we must admit. However, we just searched near and far and couldn’t find a single thing about it anywhere. Hmm. What’s with that? Who cares?! More HD channels! Excitement for all…kinda.
While flipping through the channel guide last night, I realized we now have Lifetime HD, USA HD, CNBC HD and a couple of temporary-looking Olympics HD channels that will probably disappear once the games are over. It’s not much but since we just got a dozen new ones back in May, it’s certainly cool.
Has anyone noticed these? Did anyone even know about it? What gives, ya’ll? What gives?
Just wondering…

I think I noticed the Lifetime channel the minute it was available.

So what is Cox charging now-a-days for their HD set-up? I am talking no movie channels, one tier of programming, HD and DVR? DISH is charging about $80 a month sans locals.
Doing some comparison shopping….help a brother out.

Sorry Bubb, but unfortunately it’s not that simple. Last time I checked you had to buy 2 of their digital tiers on top of the basic tier. The DVR costs extra too but once you pay for all of that the HD channels are free.
But if you get internet with Cox you get a bundleing discount. Without internet I think my bill would probably be about $80/month….with locals of course.
HDMI cables not included, but you probably can use the cables you have for the dish.
