Who kills kittens?
In horrible news today, 10 kittens are dead after some sick & twisted excuse for a human being broke into the Springdale Animal Shelter and in a mighty display of their “power” threw the helpless animals against the ground, killing them.
Late yesterday night, the waste of flesh snuck into the cat room through a window and released all the cats from their cages. He/she/it then slammed four kittens against the ground. It also then placed several cats and kittens in areas with dogs, obviously hoping the dogs would tear them apart but, luckily, no harm came to those animals.
At 1:30 am six other kittens taken from the shelter were found dead in the Home Depot parking lot, killed in the same manner as the other four, by being slammed into the ground.
You know, a lot of twisted things happen in this day and age, but there’s something particularly disturbing about killing helpless kittens.

Oh what the ****?!? Did the Home Depot cameras pick up anything?
And ten are still missing, though they may be around the shelter.
It’s just sick. My only thought is that whoever did is is probably trolling NWA sites for the news/outrage/furor and touching themselves. Or laughing.
If you’re reading this, I hope the rest of your life is just as miserable as your past.

****ing psychopath. I’m no Columbo but my guess is that this is the work of a juvenile male who is well on his way to murdering people. I seriously hope they catch whomever it is. A shame.

It’s really unfortunate Arkansas doesn’t have felony provisions for those caught abusing animals.
The person/persons who are responsible ought to be in jail for a long time. If not, they are statistically more likely to – as yrfuneral suggests – kill people.
I don’t have much of a heart, but this story certainly broke what’s left of it.

This “person” will be in the news one day, after the crawl space of their house is explored. Not Joking.

“It’s really unfortunate Arkansas doesn’t have felony provisions for those caught abusing animals.”
Wow. Is that true??? I’m embarrassed that I didn’t know that. Let’s see, we’ve had a good 40+ years of modern studies regarding serial killers, psychopaths etc… Many of whom got a right good jolly at an early age abusing animals. It’s amazing an incident like this, in this day, will be issued a free pass.

From the article:
“Animal cruelty in Arkansas is a misdemeanor punishable by a maximum sentence of one year in jail. Arkansas is one of five states without a felony animal cruelty law.”
How much more time would they get for breaking and entering?
Let’s hope that year in jail would be enough to ruin them.

I think it should be like sex offenders where this dude has to go door to door in his neighborhood and say “hi, I’m Jon i just moved in next door. I enjoy mountain biking and being outdoors, i’m kind of a “foodie” and i kill kittens”

I kind of like the Beebs idea. Throw them in with the pederasts, and put their addresses on a website. That might not be enough though. Something horrible has most likely happened to this person/persons in their childhood, and that sucks, but at this point let’s consider them ruined and removed them from society. No amount of rehabilitation is going to bring someone back from smashing kittens.

There has been a reward fund established for information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible for this horrific act. If anyone would like to donate to the fund, contact Springdale Animal Services.
Let’s help get these folks off the streets and put in jail, where they belong.

I agree with those above who say that whoever did this is very likely to become something even worse. The penalty should be much, much higher.

How hard are the authorities trying to find this waste of oxygen? Who can we write to to demand that this person is found and prosecuted? Because they are guilty not just of animal abuse, but apparently B&E as well.
I remember signing a petition to make animal cruelty a felony…it was opposed by farmers and hunters. Thanks, guys.

I also want to say that it’s telling that it was the DOGS who didn’t harm the kittens. Maybe the word “humane” has the wrong species as the root word.

ok I hope someone finds this **** fast cause he/she is obviously the next serial killer. I hope someone slams him to the ground like he did to the helpless kittens. I wish I had not read this. Geeeeze

I wish I had not read this either, horrible.
I just watched a show about serial killers and it is true… almost all of them get their start by torturing animals.

Sue Madison has introduced bills in the ledge several times (at least twice) to make animal abuse a felony. The powerful group that stomped her bills to death like kittens under their boots is none other than The Farm Bureau.
If you have Farm Bureau insurance, you’re a kitten killer. Call and cancel

yeah…the bill is being considered at the next session. early next year i think. you can email Mike Beebe (or write, call) http://governor.arkansas.gov/contact/index.php

I wish I could say the kittens are in animal heaven, but the fact is animals don’t have souls and this kitten killer will go to heaven if he or she accepted/accepts Jesus Christ. Well, if he did this to eat the kittens, then that’s totally okay. Bible says all is clean to eat.

Nice, Riber. Just what this thread needed was some bigotry against Christians, espoused in a manner completely devoid of humor and wit! Kudos on a job well done!

Even in Arkansas, burglary is a felony, and this is burglary. Breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime (kill kittens).
Plus for killing 10 kittens that’s ten counts of animal cruelty. I hope the judge makes him serve consecutive sentences, then he can get 10 years just for what he did to those poor kittens, if they find that sack of ####.

How could someone look at them and kill them and be able to go on with everyday life, Who ever did this will get theirs- what goes around comes around… I just hope we get the chance to know who it was and what they got!!

Unfortunately, there is not a single piece of evidence that will lead to any sort of conviction. Home Depot’s camera didn’t catch anything, and no fingerprints left that the crime team was able to lift. Sadly, the infamous kitten killer or killers has gotten away………………….

You know I don’t like cats, but this is truly a hideous crime. I hope they catch the a-hole that did it. But more importently I hope the New York Times writes a story about it and how everyone in Arkansas is a bunch of goat humping cat killers. Then we can get more comments from the hoidy toidy Yanks telling us what a bunch of asshats we are because of the actions of one person.

Highfive, Total Bastard! Good to see someone has a sense of humor.
Folks, I doubt you could get this wildly upset if this happened to children. Older than age 8 or 10, say.
