Conor Oberst drum circle in Fayetteville

October 26, 2008 10:31 pm · By Todd Gill · 4 Comments

One of the most anticipated shows in a long time took place at George’s a couple of months ago. It was a packed house and both Conor Oberst and Jenny Lewis completely ruled it.

Apparently the bands weren’t exactly ready to call it a night after the show, though, as evidenced by this footage (embedded below) entitled “Drum Circle in Fayetteville Arkansas”.

The nearly 8-minute-long video features Conor Oberst, a handful of musicians from the bill that night and one mysterious fellow named “Local Kid.”

Congratulations, “Local Kid”, there are at least a thousand local females who wish they’d been lucky enough to kick it with ole Bright Eyes instead of you.

I think “local kid” is the drummer from Apartment 5. I’d like those 8 minutes back please.

Yeah, I think it is judging from the tightness of jeans. That was def. a waste of time.

Ya’ll need to learn to use the fast forward feature for vids like this. I’ve always wondered what that “green room” trailer looked like on the inside.

-No coke or whores. Kind of disappointing :) It was the best music I’ve ever heard from Conor Oberst however.
