Another venue opens November 1st

Good things are happening for the Fayetteville music scene lately.

A few days ago, we found out the Gypsy was re-opening on College Ave where the Dart Room used to be, legendary Fayetteville band Punkinhead is getting back together for a handful of shows, and today the NWA Times Tuned In blog wrote about another new venue opening on November 1st.

The Mayapple Salon, which will serve as an actual salon by day, will host a few live music shows per month. It will also provide a rehearsal space for local bands, and gallery space for local artists, and is located just off Center St. near the Frisco trail, just a block or so from downtown.

The grand opening for the new venue will take place on Saturday with the bands Hosta and Sea of Freaks.

Owner Roxie Hunt describes the new venue as a “style factory,” and while we’re not sure what that means, it can only be good for the Fayetteville scene.
