Early voting begins today
Just a reminder that early voting for the mayoral runoff election begins today (Nov 18) at the Washington County Courthouse and will continue from 8am to 4:30pm through Friday (Nov 21) and also on Monday (Nov 24).
In case you’ve somehow missed all the drama, current Mayor Dan Coody and City Council member Lioneld Jordan made it through the general election and are now going head-to-head for the job of leading our city through the next four years.
Ready? Set. Vote!

Clark?
Wow. If so I will find that a little surprising.
A worldly, visionary, well spoken, intelligent representative for our community at regional and national events is going to be traded in for a raspy redneck with zero vision except for some idealistic notion of popular consensus he’ll never achieve except by taking no action whatsoever.
Those who wish for time to stand still in Fayetteville will at least be happy.
Change, please

TB–Steve Clark knows both candidates pretty well. He respects one of them.
Worldly? Just because someone’s been to a rodeo doesn’t make them a bull-rider. Visionary? Coody’s “visions” all end up in red dirt scars or holes or $63 million cost overruns. Well-spoken? If monotonal bull****ting is your idea of well-spoken, I am sorry for you. Intelligent? Where’s any evidence of that? The man doesn’t even have rudimentary math skills needed to balance a budget.
Unless you are pulling our legs you have serious issues with reality.
Coody’s time has passed. 63% of the voters sent that message in the general election. We do deserve better.
