Basketball Razorbacks Lose to (gag) Missouri State

We’ve been pretty optimistic around here about the Razorback Basketball team, but Saturday night they showed why they are picked last in the SEC West in a game against Missouri State.
Arkansas battled back from 13 down in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to beat a Missouri State team that was highly motivated to beat the Razorbacks. The students even stormed the court after the game, and that kind of enthusiasm was the same reason Missouri State beat the Razorbacks.

They played as if the national championship was on the line. The Razorbacks played like, well, to quote John Pelphrey, “We just didn’t play very well.”

This is just one in probably a long season of ups and downs for the young Razorback team. The season is still young, and a lot can happen between now and March. Saturday night, the Razorbacks proved just how far they’ll have to go if they want to disprove their critics, and finish outside the cellar in the SEC.

Update on Question Number Six: Washington is now 2-1 on the season. Missouri State? Really?
