Hogs Trash the Tigers
After serving a three game suspension for an undisclosed violation of team rules, Jason Henry made up for lost time on the court Wednesday night, leading the Razorbacks to a 80-61 win against the Texas Southern University Tigers..
Henry scored 19 points in only 20 minutes of playing time, and also grabbed 7 rebounds to lead the Hogs. Rotnei Clarke added 16 points, and Courtney Fortson had only 6 points, but performed well at the point with 11 assists and only 1 turnover before fouling out late in the game..
Every Razorback on scholarship got into the act Wednesday night, as all 10 Razorbacks scored in the game against the Tigers as the Hogs controlled the game against the winless Tiger team.
Tiger Coach Tony Harvey provided some excitement, when he was ejected just 11 minutes into the game in the first half after receiving his second technical foul.
The Hogs seem to be improving from game to game, and having Jason Henry back in the lineup definitely makes the Hogs a more dangerous team.
“With [Jason] Henry, we got a little glimpse of the talent he has. He has really been in a good place for about two weeks now.” Pelphrey said after the game. The Hogs also took care of the ball better on Wednesday than they have all year. “We like the two-to-one assist to turnover ratio. “We did a better job of being fast in transition. We need our bigs to continue to run the floor like that.”
Oh. And, this happened.

Wasn’t it Texas Southern, not Texas State? Either way, the Hogs looked good last night. And the off-the-backboard dunk was completely necessary.

With my Petrino man-crush, I hardly have time to pay attention to the basketball team.
