Hog Haus was on fire

Things are under control now but earlier today at around 1pm, Hog Haus Brewing Company was evacuated due to a fire in the upper west side of the building.

Traffic was stopped on both Dickson Street and West Avenue in order to allow ladder trucks access to the smoking building.

Firefighters working the area said the fire may have started near a vent above the brewing area and that parts of the roof had to be removed in order to put out the flames. It didn’t appear to them that any other areas of the building had been damaged.

Despite the evacuation of the building and also the Walton Arts Center across the street, no injuries were reported. Just a handful of cold, confused locals we suppose.

Thanks to all our tipsters for alerting us. There were plenty of news crews also on the scene when we arrived. Listed below the slideshow are some of their takes on the story.
