UA students protest for peace in Gaza

A crowd of about 20 people braved the cold and gathered on the University of Arkansas campus this morning at 11:30 a.m. in front of Mullins Library to protest for an end to the Gaza conflict and for U.S. independence in the Middle East.

Sponsors of the event included the student organization, Campus Greens, and Students for U.S. Independence (SUSI).

Many of those in attendance held homemade signs and listened peacefully to three speakers including SUSI founder Abel Tomlinson, who recently ran for U.S. Congress.

Below are a few photos from the protest. If for some reason the slideshow doesn’t load, just head over to our Flickr set.
