Northwest Arkansas Food Bank gets a big donation

Tomorrow afternoon, Tyson Foods, the Arkansas Razorbacks, and Lift Up America will team up to donate 15 tons of food to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank in an effort to replenish a diminishing supply at local food banks around the country.

According to a Feeding America, the declining economy has caused the amount of Americans who are in need to increase at a time when donations to local food banks are down. Which means this type of thing is crucial to maintaining the supply at local food banks.

The Arkansas Razorback football team, Athletic Director Jeff Long, as well as members from the women’s volleyball team, men’s track team, women’s soccer team and the swimming team will be on hand to help unload the truck, and the public is welcome to come and meet the athletes. The event will take place at the Broyles Athletic Complex tomorrow at 10 am.

Tyson’s Hunger Relief team does some really good things around the country, and it’s nice to see them doing something to help the local community. Kudos to you guys.
