Weekend: Jan 23, 24, 25

Know what’s awesome after a long week of co-workers being weirdos, school being lame, and parents just not understanding? Weekend. That’s what. This weekend is gonna rule. Trust me.

Tonight, Lucero and Cory Branan come to town for the first time in a long time, and Lucero will be making their George’s debut tonight as well. Bad news is, if you didn’t already buy your ticket, you’re gonna be out of luck, because the show is already sold out. You can read an interview w/ Lucero lead guitarist Brian Venable here.

But don’t freak out. We’re hearing good things about Joey Farr and the Fuggins Wheat Band, and they’ll be at the Gypsy tonight. Plus, Lucio w/ do a “Grown Folks Night” which is an evening of “adult” hip hop, and old school beats at the Smoke and Barrel.

Saturday night, George’s will have another huge show, as Mix Master Mike will return to town, to a another likely sellout. If you don’t have tickets, we suggest you get on it.

Sunday, there’s a rock show going on over at the Gypsy, with , The Inner Party, Lethal Red, and Auger.

On Saturday evening, Spay Arkansas is having a chili supper here in Fayetteville. For more, call Amy Wilson at 263-4584 or Marcia Donley at 442-7472. Or click here.

Sounds like a pretty awesome weekend to us. Basically, you’ve got plenty of choices. What are you guys doing this weekend?
