Had the blog continued anonymously (and why was it anonymous in the first place?) and his identity would have leaked, it would have tarnished Jordan. I personally think it is bad style to eliminate a blog to which, after all, countless readers (me included) have contributed by writing comments. I can see no rationale for such a behavior other than either arrogance or fear of embarassment. Sorry if I'm not sufficiently deferential to the mighty Iconoclast...
