Roads holding in Fayetteville

January 26, 2009 4:55 pm · By Dustin · 3 Comments

As of about 4:45, the roads in Fayetteville are clear for the most part, minus some slick patches, and the always scary bridges and overpasses.

We’ll try to keep you up to date on the conditions here in Fayetteville as things progress, and we invite all of you to post updates in the comments. More good news is that to this point, ice doesn’t seem to be accumulating on power lines yet, though we expect that to change as it gets dark.

We still have power on Township, which means we still have heat as well. So far, so good. I540 was clear up until 4:00 from Springdale south. We’re hearing Benton County is a different story, however. Anything changed over the past hour? Have you guys experienced any slick conditions yet?

As of 6:45pm major roads in Fayetteville were in good shape, same could not be said for roads in Springdale (only 412 and 71 seemed to be free of icy patches).

I am in the Township area west of College. We still have power at 10:35 pm.
