Fayetteville is a town shut down

Well, the ice finally stopped, and we got a dusting of sleet and snow on top of that. As a result, it’s about as quiet in Fayetteville as it’s ever been today. Most of the city is without power, and there’s gonna be one heck of a mess to clean up when all this is over.

News outlets are reporting more than 100,000 houses are without power in Northwest Arkansas.

Here at the Flyer, we’ve had short periods with and without power, but as of 8:30 this morning, we have it again. I also lost the one and only tree in my front yard.

Roads in Northwest Arkansas are extremely dangerous as they are now completely covered in a sheet of ice, snow, and sleet.

So, who’s been out this morning? What’s open? Where can I get a breakfast burrito? Anybody deliver?
