You mean Twitter is actually useful?
The NWA Times’ Robin Mero found someone who thinks so. Could it be that the “young” alderman was onto something earlier this month? Nah, this New Media shift’s just a dream. Pinch yourself. Oh yeah, the story: “Twitter me this : Wake up and get the Tweets, alderman says” (NWA Times)

Re-LEAF Fayetteville
I completely forgot about this. Did anyone make it to Fayetteville’s annual Arbor Day celebration and get a free tree? “City pitches in to add trees to local landscape” (NWA Times)

Another protest for Coach Matthews
On Friday, we mentioned a protest that took place at a school board meeting last week in honor of the Woodland Jr. High teacher/coach who was suspended for “inappropriate” contact with a student. Today, the students chimed in: “Junior High Students Protest Teacher Suspension” (Morning News) and “Woodland students rally behind dismissed teacher, coach” (NWA Times)

Wait, there’s more
Coach Matthews’ suspension has also inspired a Facebook group called “Let Coach Matthews Come Back!” which currently has 1,063 members. What’s Superintendent New saying about it? Read this to find out: “Bobbynu Puts Coach on Double-Secret Probation” (Fayettevillage Voice)
