Weekend May 1, 2, 3: Inclement Weather Update

May 1, 2009 1:23 pm · By Dustin · 4 Comments

Well, no sooner did we get our longest weekend post ever up before some of the outdoor events scheduled tomorrow began dropping like flies because of the weather. Here are some updates on some of those events.

Battle for Hope Fundraiser is still on unless lighting or severe storms make the event too dangerous. If it’s just a little rain, the runs scheduled are still on.

The Dogwood Walk at Gulley Park to benefit the Humane Society has been postponed until a later date. Tentatively, May 16th, but we’ll keep you updated.

Cake at the AMP is still on unless severe lightning and thunderstorms make conditions too dangerous.

The Lake Fayetteville Cleanup scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled.

Family Field Day, at the AMP, according to Walt Eilers’ Facebok status “will change into a Mall Day to escape the rain. The 5K run will be a downpour dash for those who are hearty or slightly off center. Come to the Mall and have a great, dry time”

Springfest festivities will go on rain or shine according to the organizers.

Razorback Baseball has not been cancelled for tonight yet, but it’s not looking good.

Spring = rain. Not a good season for fests.
