FHS Master Plan Variations to be Presented Tonight

For the past few months, Fayetteville Public Schools has been working on plans for building a new high school in it’s current location. Tonight, three variations on the master plans for the new school will be presented to the public from 6 pm – 8 pm in the current Fayetteville High School Cafeteria.

The Fayetteville High School Campus Master Plan was presented by Concordia LLC to the Fayetteville Board of Education in a board workshop session held April 16.

On May 4, the district presented locally developed options to integrate the people’s plan. Costs were also estimated for each variation. All three iterations of the master plan will cost over 100 million dollars

From the press release we received, “The goal of the community meeting tonight will be to celebrate the integration of the community’s vision into the master plan’s design, to update the community on the board’s discussions and timelines and to gather creative ideas that could connect the Fayetteville community to the high school site. A community survey will be distributed during the community meeting that will compile creative ideas for community use of the proposed facilities thereby encouraging community ownership of the future campus.”

For more information on the meeting tonight, as well as all three variations the Fayetteville Public Schools charette info page on their website.
