To-do: Tuesday 6/2
So who watched Conan O’Brien’s first night as host of The Tonight Showlast night? What’d you think? Same Conan? Tamer Conan? Lamer Conan? I liked it. Tonight’s episode has Tom Hanks and Green Day.
Local(ish) trivia: Do you know which Green Day song references Fayetteville? Do you know how many Arkansas natives are in Green Day (this one’s tricky)?
Tonight should be interesting. Why? Well, the Walmart shareholders are in town and Sugarland and Brad Paisley are playing at Bud Walton Arena. As usual, the WM concerts are first and foremost for the Walmart shareholders but if there’s room, you can get in afterwards for free. Better be there by 6pm at the latest if you want a shot. Good luck.
Pope County Bootleggers and Deadman’s Flats are at Gypsy on College tonight. Bluegrassy stuff. Fun.
Or you could do jazz night at Scarpino’s with the McLeod/Burson Quartet. It’s up to you.
That’s not all, though. This is:
Arsaga’s on Crossover: Aliison Sattner
Fayetteville Farmers’ Market: On the square (7am-2pm)
George’s: Electro Lounge – No cover
Gypsy on College: Pope County Bootleggers and Deadmans Flats
Jose’s: Dave Stiles
Smiling Jack’s Fresh Foods: Josh & Friends
Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall: Koto Concert – Ishigure Masayo with Er-Gene Kahng, violin -7:30 pm, Choir Room, Billingsley Music Building
Teatro Scarpino: McLeod/Burson Quartet

“One for the Razorbacks”, perhaps?
There are no “official members” of Green Day from Arkansas, but there are now 2 Arky guitarists in the touring band.
Conan will be a huge improvement over Leno, who sucked [The Leno Formula: Tell joke; Laugh hysterically at yourself; Repeat punchline]. But Letterman is still the king.

five by five wins.
Jason White and Jeff Matika are touring Green Day axers and both are Arkansans. “Juliet” from “One For The Razorbacks” (Kerplunk) was from Fayetteville.
$1000 to you, five by five. The check’s in the mail.
