Yasemin--
According to the Johnson Properties web site (http://www.jpro-nwa.com/hogs.htm), "The color now used is slightly different than the original however it is still called cardinal red pantone 199. In web page applications the nearest color used for compatibility with the majority of browsers is CC3300. These letters and numbers (code) are meaningless to all but webmasters. The numbers for graphic artists are Hue-10, Sat-240, Lum-96, Red-204, Green 51, Blue 0."

According to University Relations (http://styleguides.uark.edu/194.php),
"The official colors of the University of Arkansas are cardinal and white. Because of the requirements for printing and the need to be as specific as possible when matching colors, the Pantone® Matching System (PMS) number for cardinal red is 200.

"The only two-color combination allowed for the University of Arkansas logo is black and PMS 200. When producing four-color publications, the CMYK values shown below produce an acceptable match for PMS 200.

    * Cyan = 0%
    * Magenta = 100%
    * Yellow = 63%
    * Black = 12%

"The RGB values are:

    * Red = 190
    * Green = 15
    * Blue = 52

The hexadecimal (Web) value is:

    * #BE0F34"

Pantone 199 is cited elsewhere as well. You might want to verify your choice with the Razorback Paraphernalia Czar. You might not.

Ah, Google...

I agree with the premise that the Arkansas helmet might be the best in the universe. I've loved that helmet since I was a kid in the mid-60's. Regarding the comment that the first Broyles-era helmet was a bad Alabama imitation, that is not true. Alabama's helmets had (and still have) a white stripe over the middle; Arkansas never had a white stripe during the Broyles era. Another note: Alabama actually kept two sets of helmets back then and, if they played a team that also wore red helmets, Alabama switched to a white version with red numerals and stripe. In fact, Alabama wore the white helmets when they played Arkansas in the 1962 Sugar Bowl (after the 1961 season) when they beat Arkansas 10-3 and won the National Championship thereby.

Agree that the '58-'63 helmet looked like Bama's, but keep in mind that Arkansas was in the SouthWEST Conference until 1992, meaning that the Hogs and Tide almost never played each other.

@burgerboy, I completely agree. The 07' uniforms were the best, clean and simple. Also, it didn't hurt that Dmac was running all over everybody during that time.
