In case you missed it earlier in the Sweet Can Circus contest post, there’s a really cool event going on at Walton Arts Center this week and if you’re a parent, you get in free.

The Sweet Can Productions crew from San Francisco will be performing later in the week but starting tonight and running through Wednesday, they’re offering an Open Circus Studio for Families in which you and your kids can observe an aerial rehearsal, ask questions and test your performance abilities with circus apparatus including aerial silk, trapeze, rolla bollas, and juggling equipment. Tickets for kids ages 7-16 are only $5 and things get started at 6pm in the Starr Theater. Purchase tickets at waltonartscenter.org if you wanna.

If you’d rather have some music in your smoothie, Powerhouse is having an Open Jam tonight. The house band this week will feature Dan Hicks (bass), Will Collins (guitars), Lucien Tisdale (keys), and Johny Arredondo (drums). Things start at 7pm and end a few hours later.

But wait. There’s more:

Gypsy on College: Jovan Arellano
Herman’s Ribhouse: Sarah Hughes
Pesto Cafe: Darren Ray
Powerhouse: Monday Night Open Jam
Smiling Jack’s Fresh Foods: Marley Monday
US Pizza Co: John and Kevin
Walton Arts Center: Sweet Can Circus: Open Circus Studio for Families – 6pm
