Campaign rally for A+ Stronger Fayetteville planned

  • by Todd Gill, Flyer Staff
    on August 11, 2009 at 1:43 pm

Those in support of building a brand new Fayetteville High School are invited to a rally tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday, August 12 at 5:30pm at East Square Plaza (old Bank of America Building) on the Fayetteville Square.

The Campaign for A+ Stronger Fayetteville is building support for the September 15 election in which voters will be asked to approve a millage increase to fund a new, 21st Century Fayetteville High School to be built at the school’s current location.

Members of the FHS marching band and spirit groups will bring entertainment while Mayor Lioneld Jordan will bring a few words. Those who are against the idea of a new school will most likely bring protest.

Anyone wishing to get involved can pick up yard signs and/or sign up for campaign activities. For more details on the campaign including a “Get the Facts” section, visit astrongerfayetteville.com.
