To-do: Wednesday 10/28

For the first time in what seems like ages, Fayetteville is dry today. How long will it last? Any weather enthusiasts wanna take a stab at a forecast for the remainder of the week? My guess: Rain again. Maybe.

At George’s tonight is the ongoing local female talent showcase, Sisters in the Round (part 5?), featuring Tiffany Christopher, Sarah Hughes, Candy Lee, Shannon Wurst, and possibly a few others.

Fans of any of these local standouts should be psyched. All of ‘em. Together. Tonight.

Also this evening is Opal Fly at Smoke & Barrel, who has recently moved from Thursday to Wednesday and dubbed the show “Whiskey Wednesdays.”

Comedian Ronnie Jordan is at the UA Student Union Ballroom, Jovan Arellano is at Grub’s and there’s live jazz at Ella’s.

What else? This else:

Arkansas Union: Comedian Ronnie Jordon 7pm (more info)
Dickson Theater: Josh Hicks, Lame Brains, WELL WELL WELL
Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall: Made in the USA: American composers 7:30pm (more info)
Greenhouse Grille: Sarah Hughes
George’s: Sisters in the Round 10:30 pm
Grub’s: Jovan Arellano
Smoke & Barrel Tavern: Whiskey Wednesday w/ Opal Fly
Ella’s: Jazz on the Hill
