Hogs beat Magicians 102-69
Arkansas started strong against Lemoyne Owen, struggled to close out the first half, and then pulled away in the second half to beat the Magicians 102-69 at home Thursday night.
Leymoyne-Owen battled back from an early 13-point deficit before the break to trail the Razorbacks at halftime by only two points, 51-49.
But the Hogs stepped it up in the second period, holding Lemoyne-Owen to just 21.4% shooting in the second half while shooting 57.6% from the floor.
Also, one of the Arkansas’ male cheerleaders lost his pants on a tumbling run during the first official timeout of the second half. It’s a good thing for biker shorts.
Rotnei Clarke led the Razorbacks with 21 points, while Courtney Fortson and newcomer Marshawn Powell chipped in 18 each in the Hog victory.
Next up, the Hogs open the regular season Friday, Nov. 13 against Alcorn State at Bud Walton Arena.

Why do I read the Flyer? Because along with giving in depth analysis, you guys include this nugget;
“Also, one of the Arkansas’ male cheerleaders lost his pants on a tumbling run during the first official timeout of the second half. It’s a good thing for biker shorts.”
You guys rock!

@Brad – For whatever reason, the pants incident was definitely a turning point in the game. I’m pretty sure the Hogs went on an 8-0 run immediately afterwards. Coincidence? We’ll never know.
