Two shows at Smoke and Barrel Tavern on Saturday (11-7)

It’s gameday, and to celebrate, there are two shows in one day at the Smoke and Barrel tonight (11-7).

The first show starts at 5:00 pm with local singer/songwriter Sarah Hughes, and $4 Bloody Mary’s and $3 Mimosas during happy hour until 8:00 pm.

Then at 10:00, melaniejane and pat mAcdonald (his spelling) from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin will take the stage.

mAcdonald is a singer songwriter/multi-instrumentalist from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, and has been called “the greatest lyricist in the English language” by No Depression, and his music has been described as “a dark collision of metal and swamp blues” by All Music Guide.

His live show has been described as “life affirming and magical” by the SF Bay Times.

melaniejane (her spelling) does the show with pat and in addition to performing her own songs, plays electric cello, percussion, keyboard, background vocals and accordion against his raw guitar, cigarbox guitar, harmonica and full-out, rock-on stomp board.

Sounds like a party.
