County employees suing sheriff, department members regarding sexual harassment

KFSM is reporting that two female employees of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department have filed a lawsuit against the sheriff and other members of the department, regarding sexual harassment.

Sgt. Lori Schmidt and Cpl. Stephanie Guenther are claiming that their rights were violated when sexually inappropriate behavior in the workplace was overlooked.

The lawsuit mentions wife-swapping parties, discussions about breast augmentation surgery and a drawing of a “sex tree” showing who a female sergeant could or could not have sex with.

Named in the lawsuit are Sheriff Tim Helder, Maj. Rick Hoyt, former Capt. Randy Osburn and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
