Fun post. All great points on having fun and dealing with Black Friday.

I would also like to throw in a “Be nice to the people working” comment. They are trying to make the best of their very early and LONG days, are there to help and a little kindness goes a long way with retail employees. I always enjoyed customers like Wayne and Heidi who are having fun and not just on a search and destroy mission.

I don’t do black friday in person, all over the web. I can’t fathom why anyone would prefer to go out into the angry crush that is the black friday mob. Most everyone is so focused on what they want and angry if they don’t get it :( It’s not for me, but glad you have your tradition with your sister :)

Great post, another resource I use is http://tgiblackfriday.com Last year a lot of the black friday items could be bought early on Thanksgiving day online there.
