Ultra Studios will host a reception for local artist Path Hennon and her show “Herstorical Reflection” on Friday, Feb. 5 from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Hennon attended the University of Missouri Kansas City before moving to Arkansas to continue her work as an artist. Her works have appeared in juried shows in Northwest Arkansas, Vermont, Virginia, and New York. Hennon also organized “Woman Vision,” a month-long art show with evening performances and weekend workshops that focused on women’s empowerment throughout the 90s.

The show on Friday, “Herstorical Reflection” is a retrospective of Hennon’s paintings and drawings from the 1960s until the present.

“Painting is about finding rhythms between color, shape, form, and feelings,” Hennon wrote in her artist statement. “My art is also about geometry, archetypal energies, and the thin borders between abstraction and realism.”

The show will also feature music from Big Bad Gina, and is free to the public.
