Monday To-do: April 19

Today’s your last chance to register to vote for next month’s primary elections. If you don’t know whether or not you’re registered, just tap your heels together and say something weird like “pizza milkshake” and see if that helps jolt your memory. If that didn’t help, there’s another remedy you could try.

The state of Arkansas just released a new mobile site that makes it way easy to find out, even if you’re not currently using a mobile device.

Nice job, Arkansas.

If you want to get your hands dirty, Apple Seeds, Inc. and Leverett Elementary are having an Earth Day Landscape Work Party from 4-6 p.m. at the school. Mulch spreading and shrub planting are in the agenda so bring some gloves and yard tools if you got ’em.

Also at 4 p.m. today is a public meeting at City Hall to discuss adding the square and downtown area to the paid parking program already in the works for the Dickson Street area.

Some of the changes expected to be discussed include removing the free two-hour parking on the square, and raising the prices on the street meters to more closely match the new rates on Dickson Street.

If you’re cool or not cool with that, you might wanna stop by and let the city know.
