Giveaway: Win tickets to Dr. Dog, Deer Tick at George’s

A Dr. Dog show in the springtime is starting to become a tradition here in Fayetteville.

They were here last April, and the year before in March, which means that when they arrive at George’s for their May 3 show with Deer Tick in a week and a half, it will be (at least) the third year in a row that Dr. Dog has stopped in Fayetteville for a spring show.

The 60′s psychedelic poppers from Philadelphia just released their sixth album, Shame, Shame earlier this month, which has been in regular rotation here at the Flyer office. They got a new drummer. They played on Jimmy Fallon. They painted a new backdrop.

We’ve got two pairs of tickets to give away to what should be a pretty awesome show. Try to win them.

How to enter
Leave a comment with the sweetest band name you can make up with the word “dog” in it, (e.g., “Naked Dog,” “Dog Taco,” or “Doggie Dude,”) and you’re entered. We’ll choose two winners at random from the comments.

What you’ll win
Two winners will receive two tickets each to the Monday, May 3 Dr. Dog / Deer Tick show at George’s Majestic Lounge.

A few rules (read ‘em carefully):

• You may enter this specific contest once.
• This contest is open to anyone anywhere except Fayetteville Flyer writers, George’s Majestic Lounge employees and their immediate family members.
• Contest is open until 5:00pm CST on Tuesday, April 27.
  Make sure you leave a valid e-mail address when filling out the comment form since that’s how we’ll contact you if you’ve won
• You’ll have to provide us with your first and last name (if you win) and then be prepared to show a valid photo ID when picking up your tickets.
