BREAKING: Hot dog cart spotted on Square

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK – Early this afternoon, a report of a hot dog cart on the downtown Fayetteville square appeared on our Twitter feed, shortly after we posted it there.

“Don’t look now, but there’s a hot dog cart on the square,” was the exact wording of the Tweet.

Accompanying the 57-character sentence was a hyperlink to a photograph of the hot dog cart. The photograph, which was taken from a second-generation Apple iPhone, clearly shows a mobile hot dog stand with a bright-colored umbrella attached somewhere near the prep station on the upper side of the cart. A menu and fire extinguisher can also be seen in the picture.

Upon further investigation, we discovered that the Parlor Dogs hot dog cart is indeed open for business and will continue to operate on the west side of the square from 11 a.m. to about 2 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

“Big D” the hot dog chef said that he is working on an agreement that would allow him to operate on Tuesday and Thursday during the Fayetteville Farmer’s Market.

Taking it one step further, we purchased and immediately consumed a “Chili Dog w/ Cheese.”

It was delicious. We left a tip.
