Razorbacks unveil new 2010-11 Nike uniforms

We are roughly 100 days from the opening of the 2010-2011 football season, and if you believe the pre-season prognosticators, or if you believe in Bobby Petrino, or if you watched the likes of Ryan Mallett, DJ Williams, Ronnie Wingo, DJ Williams, Joe Adams, Greg Childs, Cobi Hamilton and Jarius Wright on offense last year, you know that all signs are pointing toward one thing for the Hogs next year: We’re gonna be freaking awesome.

In addition to all the preseason hype, the Hogs are entering a new apparel contract with Nike in 2010, and today, the University of Arkansas unveiled the first combination of game uniforms for the upcoming season.

Early Heisman Trophy candidate Ryan Mallett sported the new uniforms in a photo shoot for the cover of The Sporting News, expected to hit news stands in July. In the issue, Mallett is touted as the top quarterback in the nation.

The University also released a video of a 2010 media guide shoot featuring Mallett and the new uniforms.

Arkansas in November agreed to a five year contract with Nike to provide uniforms, footwear, and apparel for all 19 Razorback sports. Nike will issue two uniforms, and four combinations for the football Hogs this season. The contract goes into effect on July 1, 2010.

Now that you’ve seen the first glimpse of the new Nike uniforms, what do you think of them?
