Tuesday To-do: June 8

Who needs a yesterday recap? You? Good.

In case you missed it, the new iPhone was announced. So what was in it? A front-facing camera for video calling, an HD screen and the ability to shoot and edit HD video, multitasking and more. That link up there should help a little. This one will help more.

Last night was a big night for Arkansas baseball. Sophomore slugger Zack Cox was drafted in the first round by the St. Louis Cardinals. Shortly afterwards, the Razorbacks defeated Washington State 7-2 in the Fayetteville Regional and now move on to the Super Regional round where they’ll face Arizona State.

Also, it rained.

At Rogue tonight, the top slam poets in Arkansas will battle it out head-to-head to see who is the best poet in the state. The winner represents us in the Individual World Poetry Slam. Besides an open mic, Jori Costello will play some tunes and three-time HBO def poetry vet Big Poppa E will entertain. $5 gets you in the door.

Just up the alley, there’s a Scrabble tournament at Smoke & Barrel. Have an adult beverage and spell some adult words. Like laser and nunchaku. (Hey, that reminds me of my favorite YouTube video.)

That’s enough. Here’s a list:
