School is out for most, summer is here, and that usually means that things are about to calm down a bit from the always hectic spring season.

For some reason, though, that doesn’t seem to be true for this week. There are still tons of summer shows to see, sales to shop, and icy cold beverages to enjoy in the air conditioning.

Here’s what’s new from our sponsors this week.

Arts & Entertainment

Jovan Arelleno is at 21st Amendment on Thursday night, along with $2 domestic bottles and $3 wells until 8 p.m.

Darren Ray is on the patio at Dickson Theater Friday night.

Zoogma is at George’s on Thursday for free, and Nightflying magazine celebrates their 30th anniversary with a big show Saturday night. There’s more.

Jeff Kearney, Walter Savage Jazz, and Raja provide the entertainment at Greenhouse Grille this week.

Tim Meitzen, Jeff Fox, Mo Brothers, Russ Hutchinson, Jovan Arellano and TJ Scarlett are at JJ’s Grill-N-Chill this week.

Have you played Knockoff at Kingfish yet? It is the most addictive electronic shuffleboard game on earth, and there’s a tournament every Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

Sarah Tomlin Photography is hosting an artist reception at The Perk at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 3. Stop by, get some coffee, and check out some art.

Scott Leeper, Electric Rag Band, 1 oz. Jig, and a Spay Arkansas Fundraiser with the Kopecky Family Band are at Smoke & Barrel this week. Check it.

Songs in the ‘Ville with Effron White returns to the UARK Bowl & Ballroom on Thursday.

Walton Arts Center has “The World’s Funniest Guitar Virtuoso” Mike Rayburn Thursday night.

Zooloo’s has karaoke every Friday and Saturday night from 9:30 p.m. until close, along with hourly shot specials all night long.

Drink Specials

All bottles are just $2 Sunday night at Buster Belly’s, and Guinness drafts are just $3.50.

Cosmopolitans and appetizers from a special menu are just $4.25 for the ladies at Common Grounds on Wednesday night.

Well drinks are just $2 at LIT on Friday and Saturday night from 7-9 p.m.

Mickey Finn’s is now open at 3 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and they’ve added some new happy hour specials. Domestic bottles, drafts, and wells are just $2 from 3-5 p.m.
