[Updated] Coming Soon: Joan of Arc, Nov. 4 at Dickson Theater

  • by Todd Gill, Flyer Staff

Although Chicago’s Joan of Arc doesn’t seem to have announced any official tour dates yet, we recently got word that an appearance at George’s Majestic Lounge Dickson Theater has been confirmed for Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010.

The love-em-or-hate-em indie veterans have been around since 1995, and were formed from the ashes of the beloved Cap’n Jazz.

With no upcoming releases in sight, we can only assume this is a delayed tour in support of last year’s “Flowers” on Polyvinyl Records. Either that, or they’re bringing the entire “Don’t Mind Control” family with them (don’t hold your breath).

Fayetteville’s The Counterlife is also on the bill and will be releasing a new album that night. Perpetual Werewolf have also been added to the show.

Details: 9 p.m., $5, Ages 18+

Like we said, it’s not listed anywhere yet so obviously ticket information has yet to be released.

Anybody Joan of Arc/Cap’n Jazz fans around here?

JOA’s working on a new 7 inch, and instrumental record. I heard the Capn Jazz reunion might hit Texas in later November. should be epic.
