University of Arkansas graduate Dan Faires may have been eliminated from HGTV’s Design Star over the weekend, but the 26-year-old independent contractor from Springdale still has a chance to get famous(er).

Faires is currently leading a fan-poll to get his own online show on the HGTV website. As of Wednesday night, Faires has 43 percent of the vote with his closest competitor being Julie Khuu of Santa Ana, Cal.

He told NWAOnline if he is the winner of the fan vote, his online show would be called “Trash Bash,” with the concept of using leftover materials like lumber, tiles, and furniture from the community to help re-build homes for needy families.

Voting is open through Aug. 25, and you can vote for Dan up to 10 times per day between now and then.
