Fayetteville Half Marathon set for December 2010

All Sports Productions, the group behind the successful Joe Martin Stage Race bicycle event, today announced its newest endeavor, the Fayetteville Half Marathon which will be held the weekend of December 11-12, 2010.

The start and finish line of the race will be at the John McDonnell Outdoor Track center where the competitors will enter the facility and make a lap around the track.

The half-marathon course will be on run through parts of the University of Arkansas campus, Dickson St., a portion of the city’s trail system and along Garland Ave.

In a news release, organizers said the fall/winter half marathon is the perfect addition to the growing multi-sport events in our area, citing the success of the Bentonville Half Marathon and the Hogeye Half Marathon.

– 8:30 a.m. – 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
– 12:00 p.m. – Awards Ceremony
