Razorback football practice set to begin Aug. 5

If you’re a Hog sports fan, I’ve got some good news for you. Arkansas will kick off their 2010 season in just over a month, when they take on Tennessee Tech on Sept. 4 at Razorback Stadium.

If you’re a Razorback football freak, here’s some even better news. You can get a sneak peek at the 2010 Hogs starting next week, when the Hogs begin fall practice on Aug. 5.

The University of Arkansas announced today that all outdoor practices from Aug. 5-18, and another one on Aug. 21 will be open to the public at the practice field on Razorback Rd.

With 9 starters returning on offense, and 7 returning on defense after an 8-5 campaign culminating in a Liberty Bowl Victory last year, excitement for the 2010 season is as high as it’s been since someone named Mitch Mustain was an incoming freshman for the Razorbacks, and some guys named Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, and Peyton Hillis (heard of ’em?) were entering their Junior seasons in 2006. The Hogs finished the regular season that year at 10-2, and a trip to the SEC Championship game.
