Giveaway: Blue Man Group and Restaurant Week

Blue Man Group
Blue Man Group

Congrats to the winners Brandy Quinn, Paul Bixby, Lori Bremer, Stephanie, Jessica, and InPelWeTrust.

The Blue Man Group is kicking off its first-ever theatrical tour this fall, and it just so happens that the first stop is right here in Fayetteville on Sept. 2 at the Walton Arts Center.

That means some Fayetteville folks will be the first to see what those crazy blue dudes have cooked up for their year-long, 38-city tour and you could be one of them.

We’ve got a pair of tickets to the opening-night performance to give away.

It also happens to be Restaurant Week in Fayetteville, and we’ve scored some gift certificates to a few local restaurants to give away as well.

Try to win!

How To Enter
Since this is kind of a double-doozy contest, there are two ways to enter.

1. The Blue Man Group have some pretty unique talents. They drum, they dance, they paint themselves blue. I even saw a clip of them eating Captain Crunch on stage. Do you have a unique talent such as a really bendy thumb? Maybe you can you yawn and sneeze at the same time? Leave a comment and tell us what weird thing you can do, and you’re entered.

2. It’s also a Restaurant Week contest, so if you don’t have any strange talents, just name one of your favorite local eating establishments, and you’re entered.

What you’ll win
One (1) lucky winner will receive two (2) tickets to the opening night performance of Blue Man Group on at 7 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Walton Arts Center, and a $50 gift certificate good at either Shogun or Wasabi.

The second randomly drawn winner won’t get tickets to the show, but they will score a $20 gift card that will work at either Common Grounds or Hog Haus.

The next five randomly drawn winners will receive a gift certificate good for a free 28-oz. pot of tea and two cookies at Trailside Cafe & Tea Room.

That means that seven people will get a prize for entering this contest. Not bad.

The rules

  • You only may enter this specific giveaway once.
  • This giveaway is open to anyone anywhere except staff of Fayetteville Flyer or Walton Arts Center.
  • The giveaway is open until 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 and the random winners will be contacted shortly afterwards. Make sure you leave a valid email address when filling out the comment form since that’s how we’ll contact you if you’ve won.
  • You’ll have to provide us with your first and last name (if you win) and then be prepared to show a valid photo ID when picking up your tickets. Be sure to check your email, because once we notify the winners, you’ll have 24 hours to claim your prize before we pass it on to someone else. For this contest, you’ll also have to provide an address if you win so we can mail the gift certificates to you. This information will be kept private.
